BLOOD IS LIFE - Film and Music by Brandy Eve Allen || Featuring Deborah Waters || 14:23 minutes

Blood is Life is bringing the anthropocentric experience into an eco-conscious, eco-sensual and eco-therapeutic space. Ecocentric art focuses on the interconnectedness of all living beings and the natural world. "Eco-sexuality is a radical form of environmental activism based around nature fetishism, the idea of Earth as a lover. It invites people to treat the Earth with love rather than see it as an infinite resource to exploit." Our relationship to much of the natural world has become limited, including how we approach and honor the cycle of life and death, shifting away from things like menstruation and dying because they have become taboo. The film begins with the burying of my brother’s ashes, symbolizing both literal and metaphorical renewal. This ritual act unfolds into a transformative journey through powerful notions of the primitive, the romance and fragility of life and death, and the incorruptibility of nature aiming to bring us back to the source, away from materialism and back to our true Nature.
